CJ is a grounded, reality-based problem solver, who helps bring the big dreams of others to reality. CJ joined New Mexico Community Capital (NMCC) in January of 2013. Since that time, CJ has helped build out the programs which NMCC manages today. These include the Native Entrepreneur in Residence (NEIR) program, the Financial Business Basics (FBB) Program, the Business and Marketing Essentials (BME) program and others.
His main day-to-day focus is the financial management of these programs. Over the years he has managed numerous multi-year and multi-million dollar federal and private foundation grants including the 10 million five-year Equality Can’t Wait Challege as well as the management of NMCC’s overall finances. In addition to the day-to-day operations, CJ is a key component to the strategic direction of NMCC and leads its investment strategies.
In addition to the financial management of NMCC, CJ provides financial oversight to over 15 other companies through fiscal sponsorships held with NMCC.
CJ graduated from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Business with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2012 as well as his Master’s Degree of Accounting in 2016.
